By the Numbers: LAX – Tom Bradley Terminal

When the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) commissioned a design for its Tom Bradley Terminal, they asked for expanded gates and luxury lounges, retail stores and restaurants. Underpinning those amenities, Fentress Architects specied systems that helped earn LEED® Gold status, including Hunter Douglas Architectural motorized shades to harness natural daylight and advanced controls, including sun sensors, to reduce demand for electrical lighting. The shades featured anti-microbial GlacierScreen 5% fabric, helping minimize volatile organic chemicals inside the terminal.
