Designed by renowned architect Moshe Safdie, the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts has emerged as an architectural icon and world-class performance space. Featuring a distinctive cable-tensioned glass atrium, the expansive lobby required an
equally appropriate solar control solution. Hunter Douglas Architectural’s custom engineered sail shades were selected to create a more comfortable, energy efficient space for its occupants and owners. The motorized, retractable shades not only ease glare and reduce heat gain, but also contribute to the overall design aesthetic of the center.
